Day 31 - Fully consecrated life

Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”

For thirty days, we have been asking what it means to be holy like in our hearts, thoughts, words, relationships, choices, struggles, and daily lives. But holiness ultimately comes down to one question: Have I given God my whole life? Paul does not ask us to offer God one part of ourselves while keeping another part for ourselves. He calls us to become a living sacrifice, a life completely available to God.

A sacrifice placed on the altar no longer belongs to itself. In the same way, consecration means saying, “Lord, my life is Yours.” My plans are yours, Lord. My time is Yours, my Lord. My relationships are Yours. My gifts are Yours. My future is Yours. Even my disappointments and dreams are Yours. We do this not to earn God's love, but in view of His mercy. We surrender because He has already given everything for us in Christ.

A fully consecrated life is not a perfect life. It is a life that keeps returning to the altar. Every morning we can say, “Lord, have Your way in me today.” And as we surrender ourselves to Him, the holiness we have been learning becomes more than a devotional topic—it becomes a way of life.

Reflect:

Is there any part of my life that hasn't been consecrated by God?

Application:

Begin each morning this week by placing your whole day before God and praying, “Lord, today I am Yours. Let my life bring You glory.”

Prayer: Father, in view of Your great mercy, I offer my whole life to You. Take my heart, my mind, my body, my plans, my relationships, my gifts, my priorities, my courage, humility, compassion, perseverance and my future. Teach me to live not for myself but for You. May my life become a living sacrifice, holy, pleasing, and completely Yours. Make me more like Christ each day, until every part of my life reflects Your holiness. In Jesus name, Amen.
