Day 1 - We Are Called to Be Holy

Audio

1 Peter 1:15-16 “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

God has called each of us to many responsibilities and purposes in life, but beneath them all is one central calling: to be holy. Holiness is not simply about what we do outwardly; it begins with a heart that belongs completely to God.

God desires holiness in every area of our lives whether it’s our thoughts, motives, words, relationships, choices, or actions. We cannot live this way through our own strength. As we draw closer to God, His Word shapes our hearts, His presence transforms us, and His Spirit helps us walk in obedience.

Holiness means choosing to live differently because we belong to a holy God. Every day, we have opportunities to reflect His character through the way we speak, forgive, love, respond, and make decisions.

Today, remember: you are not merely called to do things for God; you are called to belong to God and become like Him.

Reflection: Am I consciously living as someone who has been called to holiness?

Application: Today, surrender one area of your life to God and ask Him to make you holy in that area. Let your desire be: “Lord, because You are holy, help me to live holy.”
